I’ve spent 22 years focusing on creative storytelling in global marketing communications. Currently, I am the Managing Editor of the NAM Newsroom at adidas. Previously, I spent six years leading strategy with the Communication team at Nike. I have also represented some of the world’s most recognizable brands at PR firms including Edelman, Golin and Ketchum. With a focus on consumer lifestyle, my client roster includes: McDonald’s, Budweiser, Corona, Klondike, Gillette, Mountain Dew, IndyCar, Bacardi, Clorox and many more.
I’ve always considered my role – much like a journalist – to be uncovering the story within a product or service, and then finding a creative way to share that with the world.
I have a Masters of Business Administration from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Advertising from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
I’m currently based in Portland, Oregon and have lived and worked in dozens of cities around the world. I hope we can all travel freely again soon.
I graduated with a degree in Advertising Communications and never spent a day in that field. Instead, I took my eye for a strong visual and a sharp story and built a career in Public Relations. After more than a decade in Chicago, New York and London creating campaigns for clients, I became fascinated with disruption and the art behind storytelling and moved in-house.
I’ve worked with…
iconic personalities &…
epic products &…
incredible launches &…
historic sport moments &…
disruptive imagery.
Creative Direction
As a Creative Director and VP, my job was creating a narrative that worked for companies, products and people. Something people could relate to and connect with.
Global Digital
I help established brands understand new audiences and tools from around the world, with a special focus on storytelling and building relationships.
Image First
I believe a powerful image can do more work than creative copy. Humans respond to compelling imagery. Combine that with a sharp story and that is the recipe for success.
Today, I am still in search of the perfect story.
None of this work would be possible without great partners and photographers, like those featured above:
